Hoodlum wannabes take knee ......
Sad to hear. Not to speak ill of the dead but I recently saw a picture of him and ...he did not look well.
Henry Hill: You're a pistol, you're really funny. You're really funny.
Tommy DeVito: What do you mean I'm funny?
Henry Hill: It's funny, you know. It's a good story, it's funny, you're a funny guy.
[laughs]
Tommy DeVito: What do you mean, you mean the way I talk? What?
Henry Hill: It's just, you know. You're just funny, it's... funny, you know the way you tell the story and everything.
Tommy DeVito: [it becomes quiet] Funny how? What's funny about it?
Anthony Stabile: Tommy no, you got it all wrong.
Tommy DeVito: Oh, oh, Anthony. He's a big boy, he knows what he said. What did ya say? Funny how?
Henry Hill: Jus...
Tommy DeVito: What?
Henry Hill: Just... ya know... you're funny.
Tommy DeVito: You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little f'd up maybe, but I'm funny how, I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you? I make you laugh, I'm here to f'n' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?
Henry Hill: Just... you know, how you tell the story, what?
Tommy DeVito: No, no, I don't know, you said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny. How the f' am I funny, what the f' is so funny about me? Tell me, tell me what's funny!
Henry Hill: [long pause] Get the f' out of here, Tommy!
Tommy DeVito: [everyone laughs] Ya motherfr' ! I almost had him, I almost had him. Ya stuttering prick ya. Frankie, was he shaking? I wonder about you sometimes, Henry. You may fold under questioning.
Great actor who put in a number of really good performances. But his turn as Henry Hill in Goodfellas is so iconic, nothing else is going to compare. He was a relative unknown who went toe to toe with DeNiro and Pesci and more than stood his ground. It's one of those performances where you couldn't take your eyes off him.
But honestly, he hasn't looked too good for a while. Last thing I remember him in was "The Many Saints of Newark", the Sopranos prequel movie, and he looked rough there, too. 67 is too young, but it seems like it was a tough 67 years.
In any case, RIP, and thanks, Ray. Wherever you are, I hope you don't have to eat noodles and ketchup like a schnook.
He absolutely nailed the character of "bad guy" in the movie "Unlawful Entry" along side Kurt Russell & Madeleine Stowe.
Sad to loose such a good actor at a relatively young age (67)
He was in Another world in the 70's, which was Mrs. P's 'show'. Every time she saw him in something else, look, there's Joey

I saw a recent interview with him and I thought the same. He seemed a bit foggy. And old.
He was in a TV show a few years ago ("The Smiths"?) with Virginia Madsen. Only ran three episodes, I think. I liked it.
EDIT: Wow, that series ("Smith") was 2006 and ran seven episodes. Amazing how sixteen years can pass...
