Yep, Suches, GA. I've got a little cabin up there. I was there this week doing some work on the place when, low and behold, the greatest bunch of misfits evah goes by 1 block from my place.
I didn't know the BABE rally route went through my back yard!

Does BABE have a set route? It sure would be fine to be sitting by the road drinking beer in lawn chairs and holding signs as they roll by. Of course, I think I'm a little too North of the Mason-Dixon to do that easily myself.

I wish I would have known! I would have stopped by for a minute or two. Did you happen to see the black VW Fox wagon with the spare tire bolted to the roof? That was me and Colleen.

This was my first year, but from what I gather the route is similar from year to year, but does change a bit. Really, we knew where our stopping point was every night, but we didn't know the route until we were handed our daily challenge through the window on the way out of the parking lot.

My daughter caught wind of it and thought it would be a blast, so I'm planning it for next year.

Me either, until I looked at the route map just now. If they indeed used I-20, it was less than 2 miles from my house. Dammit.
