You could already be infected with...Fear-bola!

I know a few people at my office are and it seems to be spreading!

(But seriously, the article is worth a read)

On topic a guy at work just ordered PPE. I won't be worried until things are more in the wild. I keep an eye on the updates but that is about it.

Actually there's a worse disease that has been affecting humankind for centuries and appears to have no cure. We call it "Stupid". It can infect millions and has no known cure.

It's a somewhat-manageable condition and is rarely harmful or fatal these days.

Sadly, that is true. I imagine it would infect less people if it hurt more.

There is a dude at my work who says he is considering making his family wear masks and avoid public places (like the library and the grocery store).

My guess is that he already avoids the library anyway...

We knew it was coming but now it’s official…the EPA just reported that bragging about not being afraid of Ebola has surpassed bragging about driving a hybrid as the leading source of smug.

I think much of the stupid exhibited is a symptom of underlying fear that makes otherwise intelligent people do stupid things.

I'm not worried, even though I did lose a couple of great uncles to the Spanish Flu in 1918. I'd like to think the knowledge and health care is better now than it was then, although I'm not sure that counteracts the air travel we have now.

Can you imagine being a really dark skinned guy with a heavy accent these days?

Panic doesn't set in here like it does in other places. If someone's eyes were bleeding on the subway everyone else would just move to the other end of the car until they got to their stop.

What about the news companies? I think they are cashing in far more quickly than Big Pharma.

One of the fellow airline passengers of the second hospital workers vomited in class at my old community college this morning. So apparently the Ebola has moved to San Diego and we're all going to die!
