This is kind of an oddball thread/topic, but here goes.

Name something you do only at this time of year because it is Christmas and you have rationalized "Hey, Christmas once comes once a year, so....."

It can be also/either be something you eat because it's only available in stores or at your house once a year. Example? Egg nog ice cream or cookies in the shape of...?

Eggnog. Straight out of the carton. Because the wife hates it, and you can only get it at Xmas time.

Just baked some homemade gingerbread cookies with the kids. Does that count? There's eggnogg in the fridge, and there usually isn't.

Breakfast Pizza:

Biscuit dough rolled out onto a baking sheet, cook about 3/4 done, Add suasage gravy instead of Pizza sauce, browned suasage crumbles, scrambled egg, bacon crumbles. Add cheddar cheese and diced onion on top. Cook until cheese is starting to crisp up. Serve with Salsa and sour cream on the side!

Everybody in my family HATES fruitcake. I love it. The little loaf from Georgia, whatever. Sweet goodness.

IIRC, that would be the Claxton fruitcake.

We usually have Honeybaked ham this time of year...and seeing that it is a Holiday....I try to give the Wife a Christmas goose.

Ship all the relatives a package at the same time. AND

Shop the jewelry counter.

Leave a box of Chocolate Chip Cookies in the mail box for the postal workers--amazing how that prevents the mail from just being shoved in the back of the box, and/or the box's door left open in the rain.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are the one time of year when I make and eat pies. The rest of the year, I don't really touch them.

Tomorrow is the day to make for me to make some Stollen. Wish I could hold off two days, but by then it's too late as family will be here clogging up the kitchen.

Day after that is to break out the KitchenAid mixer again for some Jewish hardcrust light rye bread. Dang bakery back home closed up shop, so I am left trying to get it made.
