Great, something else to spend money on
.
Between this and bgkast's Grassroots Watchsports thread, I've been motivated to pull out my meager watch collection and get them back up and running. I noticed that my wife has far more and nicer watches than I do
.
Mine:

Left to right:
-Fossil my wife got me before we got engaged
-Sector I got on our honeymoon
-Pulsar I got because it looked cool.
I also have a Ball pocket watch from my dad. Sadly not functional, but it looks very, very cool:

I've gotten out of the habit of wearing a watch in the past few years because I really can't wear one at work now. I'm kind of limited in what I can do with cars or other full size things right now, so maybe I'll mess around with tiny little stuff this weekend.

I picked up one of these a few years back - I had one in high school, and I felt I needed another. Swatch Blackout.
Messes with people, although these days it looks more like some sort of Fitbit than anything else.
I remember Swatches ticking very loudly.
I'm not really into watches, but I had one of these LL Bean Hamiltons when I was 21 and broke.

I sold it to fund the purchase of an old Honda Super Sport motorcycle, which I kept for 19 years. As soon as I got the bike, I noticed that I was seeing more of the world around me, as I was looking around for old New England churches, town halls and banks with clocks on them. I haven't worn a watch since, other than a bunch of Timex Ironmen while I was running.
Those Hamiltons are long gone from the LL Bean Catalog, but I'd love to find another one someday. I check eBay every once in a while. I'm ready to start wearing a watch again.
Cheap Casio. The free gift from work wins for now.

i'm not really into watches, i only have one:

Looks exactly like that. tells the time just fine, only needed 1 battery so far. Plan to wear it (other than to work/sleep/shower etc...) until it dies for good.
I justify it as a hobby I can enjoy daily and even in poor weather, but it gets intense like anything else. Time to keep searching for vintage seiko chronos and a birth year 6309 diver!!
A few weeks ago I ended up making a couple cheap ebay purchases. The first one came a couple days ago:

A bit of research leads me to believe that it's a cheap 80s Zim Pobeda, or at least the movement is, since it looks like the movement was kind of hacked into the case.
After 3 days, it's keeping time the same as my Sector and network time. I'm waiting on a tan leather band for it.

I usually wear a Omega Seamaster Titanium Chronograph. The 007 watch. I wanted one for years and years, finally decided to get one and discovered they hadn't been made for at least a decade. Looked around for awhile, found mine on eBay.
If I'm going out of country or something I've got a Swiss Army watch with nato band. My wife just got me that leatherman bracelet/watch thing, I'll probably start wearing it when I heading somewhere I don't want to wear the Omega.
My go to watch that I really like is the Momentum Steelix. Its a bit of a tank of a watch with a 44mm case and a weight of 4.34 grams (it feels heavy in the hand) but I can dress it up or down and it goes with everything.
I really like the offset crown-kinda a neat detail
