The Italian Design House looks to be on it's death bed. Sounds like there is some interest in the brand, but who knows.

My guess is that Bertone needs to whore itself out lending its name to watches, sunglasses and cologne
Isn't that what design houses do?

Oh my, I just.....oh my.

Yes. That is the laziest, most disjointed bit of design to ever come out of that carozerria.
I was at an "Eyes on Design" car show, which was featuring Sergio Bertone, and I also know the onwer of a Sprint Speciale- he tells the story that Sergio paused at his car mentioning that it was one if his favorites.
I like them, too.

Yep. I've seen one in person, and they are even dumpier and more ill-proportioned in the metal.

I think you may need to go see an eye doctor...
Sadly, except for a few designs, the straight Edge styling that Sergio preferred did nothing for me. Same with Giugiaro. I always preferred the designs from Pininfarina and Zagato

I wonder how it would look without the vinyl roof? I know where there is one for sale locally

I don't know... maybe bolt on a 164 nose, and slip in a LS... beef up the suspension some... would be a hell of a sleeper

I want a Stratos probably worse than any other "old car," as SWMBO would say. You can keep all your Ferraris, Porsches, Cobras, I want a Stratos!
A Dino powered Hawk is on my bucket list.
the Stratos is one of those rare cars that looks a -lot- better in full race regalia than stripped for the road. With all the wings and louvers, it does not look quite as short and stubby

I was going with the "period correct-ish-ness" choice of Dino. I've thought that for a "sensible" budget option, I could make a 3.4L LQ1 look Dino-ish enough to full the uninformed. How's that for blasphemy?
That car came out a lot better than the first one. A neighbor of mine had one of each that he bought new.
