For AR deals look for non standard calibers.
I got mine for $280 because it had a 10mm upper.
Well the 60 Is clean and oiled. No sign of any damage. I guess I'll just have to watch it and clean it more often. it's my only .22 that'll eat the cheap bulk I've been sitting on... maybe I need a revolver in my life.

These are surprisingly good - note though that the front picatinny rail is 1/4" lower than the main one, so if you're setting up iron sights, choose hardware accordingly.

My favorite handgun that I've shot (but don't yet own) is my best friends Delta Elite.
I had no idea there was a thread about guns in GRM. I always ignored this thread because I thought it was about audio equipment lmao.

Welcome! I've come to the conclusion that a large percentage of car people are also gun and watch people. I believe it's that they are all simple to complex machines and our brains like that.
Kinda like artistic people tend to like more than one art form, painting, dance, sculpture etc

Agreed! Fine machines are always a good thing. Love cars, guns, watches, and motorcycles.

You got a deal. 10mm is a better round than 5.56 within 100 yards. Plus quieter and less muzzle flash.
The guru of shooting, Jeff Cooper (RIP), called the 10mm in a carbine "Thumper". H is opinion was most infantry would do better with that than the 5.56. And the designated marksmen should have .308 M-14's

I love watches too!

When Olympic went under, I snagged the last 10mm upper we had at Midway before it sold. I put it somewhere...
Have been wanting to do a heavy barrel target AR for a while. I had really been focusing on the larger AR10 chassis with thoughts of a 24" heavy barrel setup in 308. While not the newest of hottest, a very tried, very true, and very available caliber. As of late the idea of a 6.5 creedmore or 300 blackout in a standard chassis sound interesting. I read tons of great stuff on the creedmore but the thought of being stuck in any of the wildcat calibers bothers me.
Now I'll have to start looking a built off caliber setups to see if something is cheap enough to justify the effort.

I quite like my .308. That said, I'm 5'8" 190# and it's more than a little rough if I'm unloading. And it's heavy when full. A long bull barrel would be a bit much unless your a bit bigger than I am.

If you are running a target grade gun, then there is no reason to not run target grade ammo. At that point, finding 6.5 Credmoor is not much different than .308.
300 AAC (or whatever you want to call it) is a lot of fun, but there is not a lot of point without a suppressor (which everyone that can should do).
I thought Creedmoor was too long for AR15? I think 6.5 Grendel is underrated and if I thought I could obtain 2000 rounds at a pre ammopocolypse prices I'd grab a 20" bull upper and a Vortex 4-16 yesterday. FWIW
If anybody wants to trade a Mini 14 tactical, the 16" with threaded muzzle, even swap for my really nice side charged AR 15 in 5.56 I'm interested. I have lots of mags and we can discuss extras like optics

Creedmoor goes in AR10.

That's what I thought, 84FSP said "As of late the idea of a 6.5 creedmore or 300 blackout in a standard chassis sound interesting." and I didn't know if he was thinking 6.5 Creedmoor AND 300 black would work in an AR 15, or just that he would like a 300 black AR15
If I'm pretty sure about something I like to say "I thought" in case I misunderstood instead of saying "you can't do ××××" like so many on the interballs do, when they don't know what they are talking about
Creedmore fits the standard at chassis. Great stuff but like idea of available factory ammo if I don't feel like reloading.
I've not had a chance to shoot a 6.5 Creedmoor, but if I was looking for a bolt action rifle dedicated hunting rifle, I'd consider one. For a "fun" gun that I'd be shooting more than 20 rounds a year out of, I'd only consider it if I wanted to get way more into reloading.
On the A-15 side of things, the same thing applies with 6.5 Grendel and the .224 Valkyrie rounds. I have a 6.8 SPC and outside of precision shooting, I think the 6.8 is a better general round than both of those. Likewise, I also have parts for a .277 Wolverine build, but I might abandon that project completely. I got interested when they tried to get SAAMI certified, but now that that's fallen through, I'm not sure I want to pursue it. I'm really hesitant to try to sell the AR Performance barrel I have for it, since that would involve logging into *shudder* firearms forums.
