Still can’t lift more than 8 lbs, so can’t do my usual hobbies. Done most of the cleaning around the house that doesn’t involve moving heavy stuff. I’ve now started teaching myself the Python programming language and I picked up an NES Classic last week. I finally beat Super Mario Brothers yesterday. Next up: Super Mario Brothers 3. I never owned it as a kid, so it’s a bit more difficult.
I have a ton of stickers, and a I just picked up an old toolbox at the antique mall yesterday. I should clean the rust off it, then sticker it up.
I refuse to stay bored long, got to be doing something.

Ditto.

8 lbs??
Im pretty sure I’d get in trouble just picking up stuff to put on the scale.

I got a super Nitendo few years ago, came with the Mario all stars. Ditto on when being kid couldn’t beat them to save my life. Doing it as adult was awesome, plus kids enjoyed watching. Replaying Zelda was blast also, but geez those games can be expensive. How long you been unable to exert yourself? I was out of work for 6 weeks after oral surgery, cabin fever can be surreal

I’ve thought about asking my wife to pick up and weigh various objects for me, just in case, but I suspect after the third or fourth time I ask, she’ll just throw said object at me instead of weighing it. I did get her to weigh a shadow box I wanted to hang up with some old silverware in it, but since it was from her family, I figure it’s at least partly her responsibility

Surgery was about two weeks ago, but even before then I was supposed to take it easy. Doctor says I should be back to normal in another couple weeks. If soreness/pain goes away before then, I’m allowed to up the weight limit to 25 lbs, but he also said working on cars was still probably out due to having to bend and stretch in multiple directions.
Fortunately, I work from home most of the time, so I was only off work for a couple days.
If Nintendo reissues the Super NES Classic, I’ll look into getting one of those, too. I never had a Super Nintendo as a kid. Went from NES in the 80’s to a PS2 whenever GT3 came out. I want to see what I missed out on.

Super nes classic is still in print. Saw a couple of them at best buy this morning. I already have one, or I would have.
Speaking of old video games and boredom, yesterday I hooked up the Mrs.'s old PS1. Got about a half hour out of "Ford Racing" and gave up. I'd love a SNES if I could find a copy of Killer Instinct. Can't remember the last time I dug out my NES. Dragon Quest was always a favorite. And if I could justify the time I'd waste of course I'd have to get a PS4 and the latest Gran Turismo, though then I'd be tempted to build a proper driving station and then it all spirals out of control...

Hmm, out of stock everywhere near me. I’m afraid to buy through amazon (even though some prices are close to msrp), due to the risk of counterfeits. If they reissue it again, hopefully it won’t get bought up so fast. Although it also looks like the NES Classic is back out of stock already. Good thing I got mine on the first day of the rerelease.

Killer instinct goes for around $100 if I remember.. I sold me snes setup earlier this year . Didn’t want to but it just sat and sat. I got offered $250 for it and games couldn’t pass it up. I still have ps2 with gt4 and nd4spd underground!! I too want a ps4 but can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money
Waiting for the FAA guy to inspect my ship, bored. I fixed the dragon.
Had some sheet metal left so I cut out two wings, 5ft. each connected by hinges, strung a body underneath and when the wind waifs, he bounces up and down as the wings articulate. Until it gets really windy. He folded faster than a $2 chair in a trailer park. I unbent his dumbass, welded up the hinges and made it a dragon with arthritis, no movement. Will try to get a pic up soon.
Yeah, bored.....
Well now I wish I was bored. Was suppose to move in week or 2. Now it’s happening NOW. Thankfully I’m off for the holiday otherwise idk how I’d make this happen. Current landlord being ass, won’t give me the weekend...
