According to the glossary linked above it refers to a homosexual.

I am sure mounting it like you showed on your cherokee at the back corner will work fine.
I had a cb radio in my chevy van and had one antenna mounted to the drivers side mirror. it sounds like that is far from ideal, but it worked as well as i needed it to. Also have used a magnet mount antenna from radio shack. again, worked fine.
Only time I ever talked is if we were driving in a group. But it was often fun to shut your stereo off and turn on the cb and just listen to the chatter on channel 19.
Still have the CB and antenna, maybe should hook that thing back up for future road trips.

I had one of those on my Subaru. If you were going over 80mph and hit any kind of disturbance in the road, it would fall off.

That is all I ever used it for. Some of the traffic jam chatter was funny. "Guys, shut up. It's rush hour, four lanes have to merge into one. What do you think the problem is."
For group travel, little FRS radios work quite well. The first time I needed them, I just grabbed a pair for $30 at some gas station/truck stop somewhere. No need for any kind of installs, just enough radios and AA batteries.

wow .. it HAS been a long time since I've been part of the CB world .... how do the truckers call to each other now-a-days ?

not if you don't have a smart phone ... and have no plans to ever have one

I use a pair of them for when my buddy and I travel together together going to and from autoX's ... 2+ hr drives each way
but I go to quite a few events where I'm going by myself ... so I'd like to have a CB that I can transfer back and forth between 3 vehicles ... so ease of movement between the 3 is something I would need

Yea, no smart phone here either. I may be the last 25 year old in the country that has a "dumb phone" not expressly used for the purpose of selling drugs.

they sell handheld cb's. can probably get one with an aux antenna input if you are into that sort of thing.
pm me ...
that sounds like something that would really work ... I'm not trying to reach 50 miles out ... all I'm after is coverage that my Valentine 1 might or might not give me .. really it sounds exactly like it would cover my needs
and just for dumps and giggles ... I was a surveyor when last I used a CB regularly (looked at your profile)
I should get all of the other pizza drivers at work to get CBs for their cars so we can chat while we're out.

So you use it for contract killings, too?

yeah .. at 25 you are unique .. but I'm 66 ... all this new fangled tech stuff ... all you kids GET OFF MY LAWN well except Furious_E .. he doesn't seem to be a new age techie
Yeah, one of the big draws to amateur radio and CB for me is the fact that it's 100-year old tech that still works today. I do have a cellphone, but it's a flipphone from 2007-ish, so all you techie kids can get off my lawn as well.
