And the Canadians are thinking, This guy's a liar? No way
Next thing you're going to tell us is Jian Ghomeshi's some kind of a sex fiend

The man gets paid to read stuff that is about 10% truth and 90% spin, why would he be expected to tell the truth about his personal life? Does he even know the difference?
Williams is the managing editor of NBC's nightly news broadcast. That means he is far more than just a news reader since he has direct control over what he reads and how it is written for him. It can't be a surprise that anyone with a big ego and lots of power would influence the content of a broadcast.
While some form of "the truth" is expected by news consumers, polling trends over many years clearly show that viewers have developed a healthy skepticism for the pablum that is fed to them. Williams' tall tale is further proof that a network that once deserved praise for its' reporting doesn't now.
Stars & Stripes said: But on Thursday, Stars and Stripes, the armed forces newspaper that first broke Williams' admission, reported that Williams was flying with a different helicopter company altogether, in a different direction, and linked to the attacked unit only by radio.

She learned that trick from her husband (this is still not political) the Clinton's are made of teflon.

Nope, any real journalist(if any are left these days) would shun him from everything.

And it just keeps getting better and better. Credibility = 0

Well naturally, now that it's known that he lied everything he has ever said is open to question.

Ain't gonna happen. If Brokaw was a real truth-zealot, he would have decimated the entire staff for their editing fiascos regarding Zimmerman and Romney tapes. BTW, that's not political; it's an acknowledge of NBC's penchant for altering reality to fit a narrative.
The bad news is that guys like Walter Cronkite and Edward R. Murrow are long-gone and have been replaced by smooth, pretty teleprompter readers like Williams. The good news is that we now have MANY more places to get our news.

and if it's wrong to do that to a hot chick, you're too old.
and, FWIW, on the news this morning i saw one of the (marines? army?) military men who was on the chopper with him and he verified theirs did take hits from small rounds fire, but the one in front of them got the rpg hole in it.

Something to remember when you are watching almost ANY news. Certainly not restricted to NBC, wildly popular in cable news (CNN has taken it as some sort of higher art form), and even hits the locals many times (e.g. cops shoot...)
It's a shame. Although I almost never watch network news, I always enjoyed Brian Williams when he was a guest on the Daily Show and Colbert. He comes across as a funny-- likable guy.
These sort of falsifications are completely unacceptable though. It does appear that the news (and it's reporters) are broken. Well.....besides Ron Burgundy--- he's the bomb!
i figured out Brian Williams is a liar when he was in the Dale Earnhardt documentary talking about what a great fan and personal friend he was of Dale, but he sounded like one of those guys that doesn't really know about race cars but talks like he knows about race cars so everyone will think he's cool... know what i mean?

I agree with that completely but the current issue is revolving around NBC News and its' managing editor/anchor. The incidents cited were just two of the more egregious examples where the network failed to adhere to any kind of journalistic integrity. That kind of BS should be relegated to the likes of Stewart and Colbert, two funny guys who also masquerade as "journalists".
I just watched an episode of Girls on HBO. It's berkeleying horrible. His daughter is almost too hot for a general purpose human with marginal acting skills. But marginal is being generous.
It's actually somewhat funny that he turns out to be the better actor in the family. Still, if there is some ass to be eaten on camera... I prefer to watch the daughter. OK. That is probably a lie. If there was a teaser like "Brian Williams gets his ass eaten, details at 11" I'd watch.

Kind of a wild guess here, but I suspect the show maaaayyyy not targeted to your demo....
Looks like Mr. Williams is taking a break.
