Jumping off this thread...

30 minutes a day challenge

Any suggestions on how one might build a garage (at least 1.5 so room to work on things) at 30 minutes per day?

Im not saying it's in the budget, but yes, carving out a warm place in the snowbank for working on cars is SO 2021.

Maybe, but there are parts that wouldn't work.

Pouring the slab can't be done in 30 minute increments.

Building the pad could be, but the cost of letting the equipment sit idle every day would be astronomical.

Raising trusses... it's dangerous to leave small unfinished parts of this for an extended period. It would be better to get some friends and knock it out in a Saturday.

Sheathing the roof?  That's an awful approach.

Once the tar paper is on the roof, you could do the roof shingles a little but at a time.

But building walls, sheathing walls, installing windows and doors, siding, insulation, Sheetrock, electric wiring, shelving, painting, etc, etc... SURE!  It's a good plan to work on it regularly.

Im with him. Get the pad poured one Saturday (or whenever). Then the next weekend (or multiple days later, as I was told with my building that I had to wait about 48 hours), build the structure.

THEN spend half hour a day to make it YOURS! Shelves, lockers, lights, outlets, workbench(es), WHATEVER!

Yea, it seems that some of the segments need to be 5-8 consecutive 30 min sessions.   But pretty much all of those are front loaded in a project like this.

I can't get my tools out and put away in 30 minutes.
