No, not the food. It's not a political thread derailed before it began. I'm talking about the band. I know there are a few fans on here and unknown to me they released a new album last week. Not their best but if you like Cake you'll like it. If you don't like Cake it's not gonna change your mind.
Awesome band... and dessert.

Haven't they done that a few times as of late- just been like "Here ya go" w/o any advance warning?
I knew about it, but have yet to hear it. I need to get on that.

Seems that way, I knew one was coming out eventually and kept checking for release dates but still missed it somehow.
FWIW I downloaded the album for $7.99 on amazon a few days ago and got $5 credit towards amazon videos. Helped me start catching up on The Walking Dead.
I knew about it, but they asked me not to say anything.

There's coincidence for you. I was just listening to their cover or War Pigs on the way in (and the rest of the recent covers album). I only have that one and Fashion Nugget, but they are an interesting band. I'll have to look into the new one.
I like the music, but they have the worst stage presence of any band I've ever seen live. Really seemed to despise the audience.
Weird, I clicked this thread to see what's new and "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" immediately came on Pandora.
BTW, I didn't realize they came out with a covers album. I've got the b-sides album with "War Pigs" on it, but I'll have to look into this cover album you speak of.
Brings a whole new meaning to having your cake and eating it too... CANNIBALS!
They were at the House of Blues in Orlando this weekend, and Tim's in Calif., so we were bumming because that's one show we would've definitely gone to see. (Dave, thanks for telling me they're not great live... it helped.)

And I hate Cake-that song especially.
High on my worst bands of all time list, right between U2, and Radiohead.

I love Cake. Hooray for a local SacTown band!

It's people like you who are ruining this country!
"I don't want to sit across the table from you wishing I could run..."
Sums up my love life.

We're baking a cake right now. Grandson's 21st birthday. Much better than some goofy band I never heard of.
Venue makes a REAL big difference with Cake. I have seen them in small and large venues and they were among the best and worst shows I have seen.
