In an attempt to be fair to an old car I looked up my first car, a 1980 Corolla. Passenger cell looks ok, but apparently the steering column is designed to kill the driver!

Jan is usually better than this.
On a side note, you know the guy in the Audi had to smile a little bit.
No shame. This is another one of mine, from almost four years ago, but it was from a really really good day and it came up as recommended to me and I wanted to share it.

"Chris borrowed my car and ran a best of 42.8 on the morning course. Naturally, I had to try to beat it.
NO CONES"
There's another, anthology-like video from the same day that we used a few times to advertise RallyCross at car shows.

I'm entirely too amused by this.
In reply to Knurled:
That was fun to watch. Great title for the video, too. We'll give it a share on our Facebook page.
In reply to Ed Higginbotham:
Sweet! It's nice to hear other people enjoy the junk I put on YouTube beyond the people who actually were there and shared the experience.
Obligatory video: Audi's first foray into real-world testing/use with the "automatic" transmission in the S1. We know this now as DSG, two clutch transmission, a concept 31 years later used by many manufacturers for vehicles performance and commuter.

That user has some cool vids. Like this one:

Doing what the Focus RS driver couldn't do. No Drift Mode Required!
I'm not just trying to mooch views with this one. First, experimenting with a new mounting point, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. And second, I have no idea what's going on with the coloration. The earlier runs videos were fine, and I didn't do anything but turn the camera on and off, not sure if it's sun glare or something wrong with the camera. Wow, you can barely see the course. The other runs are being uploaded to my channel tonight if you actually want to see the course layout.
But here's my best run from Sunday. 1.2 seconds behind my class leader, 9 seconds behind FTD, but NOT the slowest time of the day so I'm happy.
In reply to RevRico:
What camera did you use?
It looks like the lens or insude of the case was fogging over. Happens to me a lot. But more importantly, I wonder if the camera you used takes a light balance or focus setting when turned on and sticks with it. GoPro does this for sound, or at least it does with the original Hero HD. If you're in a loud car, start recording with the engine running!
In reply to Knurled:
My $40 bresser hd action cam. Generic go pro, basically. So I'm not surprised that it could be acting up. After taking everything apart I noticed some fingerprints on the lens, maybe they just steamed up or something during the day, because I never open the case at events.
I do need a new case though, because when it fell off the car a couple weeks ago it broke one of the tabs where it connects to the mount and jb weld got in the way.
No external Mic input, which is killing me, because I want the noise! I'm thinking about, oh God, getting a separate audio recorder and trying to sync the videos up next season.
The angle is growing on me from this mounting point though.

Dang man, no NSFW on that one? Do you know how many times I had to pretend to yawn because people were walking by my desk?
That's incredibly well done.
Note sure if TIL.
I didn't realize, until now at which point it is obvious, that Billy West voiced both Ren and Stimpy.
Shameless plug for a friend:

He has a bunch of racing/car building vids on that channel and his other one Conedodger240. The normal channel has more on it, the 'motorsports' one is new to divide them i guess.
As you can guess, he autox's a 240, but he recently stuck a supercharger and megasquirt on the KA24, so it's kinda unique. How he isn't on this forum is baffling, he's even in GRM-HQ territory...
