I was assuming that aerodynamics pushed it upright towards closing, but that something bound up from the front end damage, preventing it from closing further.

Indeed, it looks like the body panel wants to lay flat (forward) but the aerodynamics are pushing it up.

Me, I am mesmerized by the suspension tuning.  Looks like it has very little rebound damping and lots of compression damping for it to drive over those swells without the body pitching all over the place.
