I just started streaming Initial D on Netflix and both myself and the girlfriend are kind of hooked. It's like a cheesy soap opera that just happens to be an anime cartoon. Full of car nerdom though, which is pretty funny.

I never thought to go on google maps to find places in Japan that I used to go to. This is awesome!
This was my favorite restaurant, within walking distance of gate 2 Kadena airbase.

To me, that's the funny thing about it. A lot of the technical/car culture stuff is spot on. Used to watch it with my anime fan (but non-car people) neighbors..I was howling laughing at stuff that they had no clue about. I'd spend half the night saying, "..oh, man--we are really like that!!"
Now do something about those 70 series tires!
