Hearing folks talk about Pikes Peak, a question came to mind. In Gravity Racing, do the folks consider chilly & damp at the summit normal, and talk about how hot it is at the bottom?

The shifter kart sans engine in that picture is kinda what i had in mind for a electric assisted pedal cart.

As simple as it gets to bomb a hill.

Holy berkeleying E36 M3! I think that is now one of my favourite Mars photos ever. Right-click-save. Okay, it's impossible to say with 100% certainty from a single photo, but... if there wasn't a giant water ocean here in the past, I will eat my hat. Those are clearly sedimentary layers which were deposited out of solution, then subsequently eroded away. Some contrarian scientists will undoubtedly make a lot of noise about how that could have been formed by lava or wind, but just look at it. Then look at the Grand Canyon here on Earth. Tell me this isn't the same thing. No extra hotlink from me. This one stands on its own.

Malin says he likes to white-balance stuff as if the atmosphere was Earth's instead of Mars'. He says it helps the science team see things like the layers. All I can say is that if a layman like me can see them, the science team must be telling the drivers to "floor it!" If anyone's curious, here's a shot that's closer to what it would look like if you were standing there.

And now, back to your previously scheduled gravity racing! I think this one looks like a Protofab FV!

You know, I read the original Fight Club book after seeing the movie, and was severely disappointed. One of the rare instances where the movie is actually a better telling of the story. The book was flat and lifeless and non-believable.
