Went to my HS principals wake last night. I graduated almost 20 years ago but in the years since I have met few people like him. A week into school he knew everyone's name and story and would remember it. The school was his family, he was there for pretty much every sporting event, show, or club event there. As far as we knew he only left for lunch with his mother, which he did almost daily. He did his best to look after everyone and help them do as well as they could and that attitude spread to his staff and faculty. The world would be a better place if every school was run by someone like him.
