My dad was surrounded by six wolves saturday morning for the opening of Wisconsin's gun whitetail deer hunt. They came single file out of the swamp headed towards him, all with their noses to the ground. When they hit the ridge my dad was sitting on, they spread out to look over the ridge. That's when one was about 10 ft away on his left and another was about 15 ft away on his right. They hadn't even looked at him so by dad stood up and clicked the safety off of his 6.8 SPC AR. The one wolf glanced at him then went back to staring out over the ridge. My dad then said "Hey." And the wolves were all asses and elbows trying to get out of the area. Later in the morning he shot a fork; he had since moved from the area of the wolves.

Awesome and scary all at the same time. Crazy how the one just looked at him and was like, "Whatevz..."

Not my pic, but I was in Thompson, MB this past summer. I was with an account manager and a segment manager at the time, but I still laughed my guts out.

We used to do that with Hot Wheels Sizzlers, the little ni-cad powered electric Hot Wheels, and the wide black "Fat Track", but you didn't need to throttle them.

In reply to poopshovel:
Land area of Texas: 268,581 sq miles
Land area of Great Britain: 88,744.8 square miles
both stats from Wikipedia.
...so while different map projections can lead to scale issues, ... Damn Texas is big!

I've often heard it said that the difference between Americans and Europeans is that Americans think a hundred years is a long time, and Europeans think a hundred miles is a long way.
