Actually, no, I was doing it right. It was just a bastard bolt. I don't do the starter "trick", because if I do, I will probably need a starter after I am done. It is still original in this vehicle.
I made a flywheel holder for NA and turbo RX-7s out of a piece of angle iron. It was still a bitch to get the flywheel nut off. I need air tools myself.
something like this, except the flywheel nut on an RX-7 is much larger.
