Okay, we've covered the RC10, what other weird stuff did I have?
An early Yokomo 4WD (Dogfighter):
I had both the original Yokomo C4 version and later the Associated version of the C4, the YZ10:
I went to the regionals in Spokane one year with a couple of friends, all running a locally produced car called a Bullet, which was a FWD, all-wheel-steering car on a narrow carbon fiber chassis, with an RC10 gearbox at the front, assembled backwards to place the motor all the way up front, followed immediately by the battery pack. Sorry, I cannot find a picture...
Can't do this era without the Losi JR-X2 (JRX2? JRX-2?)
An acquaintance of mine from that era started a business making titanium turnbuckles, and also made replacements for the JRX2 fore-aft links that were a single arm raising the pivot way up, and also turnbuckles to allow adjustment of toe, in keeping with the era's trend toward chuck it in and rotate on brakes, then accelerate out...
Purty: When he started, they were just rod threaded at each end with a nut red-loctited on... But they were still an awesome step up from allthread!
My latest RC fun...not nearly on the level with most of the cars being posted but its got room for upgrades, since most of the individual components can be removed and replaced, and its even got a water cooling system for the electric motor
Heres a video - not mine, but you get the point...
