Is this true? I'd have thought we'd have heard more about it if they did kill a 'whole bunch' of people. They look scarry as hell, but in a fun way.
Not a super modified, but I remember a group of people brought an old circle track sprint car to SCCA Solo nat's in 97 and entered A mod. They weren't fast in A mod terms, but they were big, fast lound crowd pleasers who had an awesome time. Did they ever go back? 97 was my one and only show.
Not a SuperModified, but doesn't something like this look a hoot for autocross? I’d be too scared to take it on a track, but man, for S&G it would be great for mowing down cones. I took these at the Gilmore museum a couple of years ago.
