Yeah, I know guys in the Pacific had higher scores..but German aircraft had armor. There's a reason Revell picked Gentile's "Shangri-La" for their P51B kit.
EDIT: fixed formatting. Fingers too big for keyboard, etc.

ouch! I hope all she is lucky enough to get away with nothing more than a nasty bruise. That could be even worse, though.

Egad, what a flashback. It's 2002, I live in a E36 M3ty part of town, but have some cool neighbors. One of them flanked me at Elsenborn Ridge, I forgot that even though this younger guy knew nothing about PZ Blitz/Leader (or even WW2 or armor tactics in general), he'd been playing strategy games his whole life. Kept me pinned down in St. Athan. One bad roll (yeah, I fired at one of his units on the road & I missed him), and I was "spotted". His M4s kept my own tanks dispersed over there for the entire game. And I had Panthers over there! PANTHERS, fer cryin' out loud! One decent roll, and I would have blasted him back to the edge of the board on that side.
I eventually lost the game ("marginal Allied victory")..but won something else..
Y'see..right near the end of the game, his girlfriend came home from work. Awkward conversation ensued.
She: "Did you flank him like we were talking about?"
He: "Uh, well...um..."
Me: "Oh, yeah. I've got nothing on that side, I've just been trying to slow him down on the other."
She smiles.
He: "Well, actually..blahblahblahblah.."
Me: "Dude, you should listen to that girl more often."
He: Silence.
A few years after that, his ex-g/f became my SWMBO. And I'm cool with that. She actually mentioned the encounter when we first hooked up. "..that night you and Andrew were playing that old game, and he wouldn't admit I was right.."
Thank you, Avalon Hill.

My favorite WWII Warbird, despite the fact I'm a Brit.
Did something get deleted from this thread over night? When I checked this AM, my Spectrum pic was at the top of the page and I konw it wasn't when I made it?
Damn, they showed up on my screen so I thought it worked.
Sorry.
