I totally want this to be a Le Mans prototype.

My parents had a couple of these - I think a 1974 (died by Firebird) and a 1976.

In the parking lot this morning: "Cobalt Nation" and fender strips, so you know he's serious.

This truly awesome 12-wheeled monster train-truck concoction is also the mobile power station and a former missile carrier (this thing has been made from a diesel locomotive put on top of the missile launcher chassis). It would also make a great vehicle for "World War Z"-like zombie apocalypse. ... It was not the only train-hybrid parked nearby. The exact purpose for their creation is unknown, and these beasts are doomed to rust away unless some smart movie producers move in and use them for great apocalyptic action.

Naturally, it's in Russa someplace.

It's stuff like and ekranoplans (Keith's link, for those for whom it's broken, like me) that that makes Soviet/Cold War-era Russia seem so much cooler than it would have actually been to live in...

^^^^ I love those things. It seems like a brilliant idea. Probably isn't, but who cares!
