This is cool. Monaco 1982, the race no one wanted to win. Patrese asks Prost for a lift and drives off, not knowing he’s actualy the winner!
This side of the pond for a min. Trevor Harris, designer of the 1983 Galles-All American Racers Eagle Indy car driven by Al Unser Jr is seen here checking...something at Phoenix during testing
Having just won the 1986 German GP at the old, scary Hockenheim, Nelson stopped his FW11 to give a lift to Keke Rosberg
This one is awesome. At the end of the Mexican GP in 1986 Stefan Johansson and Rene Arnoux thumbed a lift from Philippe Alliot in his Ligier JS27, which promptly broke down. While Philippe was baling out of the Ligier, Stefan and Gerhard flagged down Nelson who gave all three of them a ride on the FW11!
1987 at Hockenheim Nelson stopped to help another stranded Frenchman - Stefan Johannson's McLaren team-mate, Alain Prost
1987 - the Italian GP Ayrton Senna practising for his iconic ride with Nigel four years later by getting a lift on team-mate Satoru Nakajima's Lotus 99T
1993 and it's Gerhard Berger yet again - this time at the Monaco GP using the Alex Zanardi Lotus 107B taxi service
Jean Alesi's rodeo ride in Canada 1995 from a future 6 times world champ (yes 6, not 7 the other belongs to Hill as far as I’m concerned)
