Jaguar porn comes in various supercar guises. I prefer this one:

I was just using my ignorance to make a joke about Pigout's tactics & technology, tho. Those things (the 908s) are *faster* than my guys. It's only through skill and daring that Audi (VW!!) won 08 and 10 in the first place.![]()

At the moment, not planning on working (I'm really not healthy enough at the moment to stand up for the 10hrs of the race-and recall that most corner workers do that every day for the entire weekend!!), but the corner worker shortage in SEDIV is serious enough at that many of my old friends who still work are damn near begging me to work the event.
If I don't have enough money to watch/camp/buy an infield pass for the car come October, I might put on that uniform again just to get into the place. Otherwise, it's PARTY TIME!!
Strangely enough, it kinda depends what my daughter & her fiance decides to do. They seriously enjoyed going to The Mitty with me this Spring, but half of the reason they enjoyed it so much is that I didn't work the event, and spent the time at our campsite telling old "war stories" at Rd. A.
Also, strangely enough..SWMBO was jealous enough of the tales of the party that the kids & I had at The Mitty that she's kind of interested in finally seeing the place for herself. She's no stranger to sleeping in a tent (thank goodness), but I'm still thinking that 1000mi of noise ain't exactly the first thing I want to share with her (or her 6yr old son, who hates anything loud). I'd really like to take them to a Club Race first, where there's a break in the volume every 30min..
Obligatory hotlink, PLM poster from 03, with Dr. Don's (Don Panoz, savior of Rd. Atl) LMP1 Panoz climbing the hill through Turn One. The thing is so exaggerated that it reminds me of the 20s-50s "art deco" posters for that lil' race in France..

Michele rocks. But as an American, gotta testify for Lyn.
L to R, Milka Duno (y'all shut up, I don't know why she slowed down so much when she got into what passes for Indycars thesse days, either), Sarah FIsher, Lyn St.James, Billie Jean King (WTBerkeley does tennis have to do with motor racing?), and Danica.
