The white on the mud flap is not dirt, it's molten aluminum deposits from the aluminum hub.
Uncontained failure during a ground run by MX which totaled the airplane due to shrapnel going through expensive parts.
High pressure turbine disc exited the engine in an expeditious fashion. Similar results as the QANTAS A380 with a bearing failure.

Rube Goldberg must have had been an engine designer at some point.
BTW, I know the first one is a radial engine, and was used extensively in aviation, it still looks sketchy to me because of the way the rids connect to the crank.
