Naw, it'll be fine. Prowler is an electronic warfare bird. Of course, there could be more to the strike package somewhere out there.
And for my hotlink, an oldie but a goodie:
Aside from maybe the A-10, there is no plane so beautifully ugly as the Intruder.
Edit to add: it has got to be embarrassing to get intercepted by an attack plane that can carry virtually the same bomb load you can.

You know, in a world where a 302 is an easy bolt-in to a ranger, I just don't get why you'd do that. I like to be different for difference's sake, but c'mon....

Easy swap? From my point of view, it is an "easy" swap, but either the people doing the swaps aren't on the net or I just see 25 completed V8 S10 swaps to 1 completed Ranger swap. There are several hurdles to a Ranger swap that people don't want to pay for or do. Bolting it in is fairly lackluster with using Mustang convertible mounts, it's everything else to make the swap work that kills them off.
So as to the original picture, why not do a Volvo headed 2.3 with a turbo? Don't have to change out anything but from the block deck up.....

TBH, I've never really looked into what it takes to make it happen, but I own a ranger-chassis Explorer with a v8 from the factory, it can't be that hard. It's got to be easier than the Volvo/2.3 combo, and have much wider/easier parts availability. The thing about V8 S-10 swaps is the only tool you need is the right size hammer, and not even cat crap is cheaper than small block chevy parts.
