Tell your dad that a welder is a tool. A weldor is an operator. Although I guess that means if you use a grinder, you should be a grindor.

That word has been obsolete for well over 60 years! As early as the 50's it was replaced with "Welder"
Not saying we shouldn't bring it back but it would get your resume thrown away if you had profession listed as "weldor"
