Meh. The rat rod thing is tired and over but I have wanted to rip the transfer case out of a rag top Sammy, G13B swap it and slam it on a mustang 2 front clip for years. That would be an awesome summer convertible.
But I also don't see the point of travelling slowly over rough terrain for the sake of travelling slowly over rough terrain.

The first couple are places I would love to go, the last 6 are mine. There are just some places that the E24 won't go.

A destination would make it more worthwhile. I went out and did the rock crawling thing with my friends a few times. They are totally over the top into it with tube frame buggies and dedicated rigs and it was mind numbingly boring to me. If I had a destination like your guys my ride would look more like this
