A little known fact, two days after that crash someone posted a rant on their local grocer's bulletin board about the post office destroying their new typewriter.
Found some old pics from my first ever motorsport event. Harewood Hill climb late March or early April 1994, just before my 25th birthday and about 4 months before I moved over here. Really crappy scans on the work photo copier of old print pictures so the quality isn’t that good.

1985 Opel Manta GTE. Stock was a non-cross flow OHC 2.0L engine, a wonderful Getrag 5 speed gearbox, nicely located live axle etc. Mine had a home ported and flowed head, decked a little to increase CR, all done by myself after hours at work. Home brewed cold air intake and loud home built exhaust. Spax adjustable shocks and springs and some sticky (by the standards of 1994) Yokahama tires. Stock had the most comfortable Recaro seats I've ever had. This is the car I miss the most of everything I've ever owned. Mine was a bit of a shed really, but I loved it. You'll notice mine was fabulous 80's gold but you can see a silver front bumper. That was the result of terminal understeer and a disagreement over spacial occupancy of the car and a small tree. Note, even small trees win against cars.
Required hotlink, stock interior. Mine was RHD with a different steering wheel center. Simple but really nice. Bugger, now I'm off to e-bay.co.uk to look for one.
Bloody hell. Searching over there I've just found this car. I'm 100% sure I know that car, it used to be owned by a friend Marco. The specs match up and so does the underhood!! That was a killer car. Owner is claiming 320hp, that's conservative, I remember chasing a Lambo Diable in it one day and the Lambo didnt' start to pull away until the jail side of 100mph exiting the Findon roundabout on the A24 near Worthing.
Adrian: Buy one and I'll find some excuse to come up to MI to drive it. Maybe I can bring some Saab parts?
