Had (and took) the opportunity to sit in a Tipo 33 a "few" years ago; it was on static display at an ill-fated start-up Alfa shop on Buford Hwy. It was really cool to sit in that cockpit, made even more special since it still had "M. Andretti" stenciled on the bodywork.
I had noticed the shop and wandered in, hoping to land a job in the parts department, but they weren't ready to expand the payroll. Oh, well.

I wish I knew that years ago. My great grandfather taught me when I was about 6 or 7 to get him three fingers of bourbon and a banana at snack time. Ofcourse being a kid I could only have two fingers myself. Made nap time come a lot easier for the both of us.

You would loose that bet- even though Ed is a friend of mine....
Since there are rules to this thread...
Shall we move on using the Tipo 33 as a springboard to revel in Can Am so I'm good and watered up when I get to the SVRA Vintage Gran Prix at the Glen next weekend?
(yes, I know thats Road America... )

I thought I was the only one that thought it sucks. You almost can't say that for fear of reprisal.

That's because it has the word Racing in the title.

I didn't like it as a book, but the fact that it brought amateur racing into the public eye helps. And it did make me cry. But the story line was kinda bouncy, and it used the same anecdote at least twice.
