Getting the remembrance day (Veterans day over here) pics started early are we. This is for tomorrow. In the Commonwealth countries people wear poppies as a reminder of the fields in Flanders. To mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the first world war they have 'planted' nearly 900,000 poppies in the moat of the tower of London, one for each Commonwealth soldier who died in WWI. They will be selling the poppies to help Veterans once the display is taken down.
