Just FYI my fine feathered friend. I had that car two full years and 50,000 miles and in that time it only depreciated another 5 bills, it always started on the first order to do so, and never had so much as a single CEL. I know German and stupidly over-engineered is a recipe for enormous, catastrophic disaster but the Phaeton really was a work of art. Before it's time and unlikely to be fully appreciated any time soon. But so much better than other cars on the road.
and much quicker than people will ever give them credit for. Very comfy high speed cruiser.

My mother in law has been buying from he lower end of the VW ladder for the 20 years I've known her and has yet to have one make it to the end of the load without all sorts of problems.
