Those are the Can Ams I remember too. Jimmy Ellis was my hero back then.
It took all my willpower this week not to buy the 75 125 TNT for sale on the local riders forum.
The Black Widow reminds me of the long travel revolution which started around 1976 or so. Maico led the charge: They just moved the shocks forward on the swingarm and stiffened the springs. The shock damping was horrific, to say the least. There were several companies offering modified swingarms and long fork tubes to convert existing bikes to long travel, the tubes were so small in diameter compared to today's that it was easy to bend them just trailriding.
