In reply to Keith,
That 60 is nice. There is one of that era local as well, but it's a complete rust bucket.

That's a Bower's Fly Baby painted to look like a WWI Junkers. The guy in the back is fake.
I found an illustration that features a mkIV R32 AND an Abarth in consumer reports. Pointless, interesting comment for today.

What movie is the second one?
In reply to Basil Exposition:
Find and watch "The Best Years of Our Lives" to see seven Oscar's worth of damn fine acting and film making. It's not a war film, per se, but a portrayal of how three different men cope with their return to civilian life after WWII.
Btw, all the bone-yard and inside-the-nose pics are stills from that film.
Best years of our lives
The scene is were Fred Derry played by Dana Andrews wanders through a boneyeard after his life falls apart. He relives the missions in the nose of a derelict B-17. He finds hope in a job at that same boneyard cutting up the things that caused so much grief.
The character of Homer Parrish played by Harold Russell was an actual amputee. Despite his Oscar-nominated performance, Harold Russell was not a professional actor. As the Academy Board of Governors considered him a long shot to win, they gave him an honorary award "for bringing hope and courage to his fellow veterans through his appearance." When Russell won Best Supporting Actor, there was an enthusiastic response. He is the only actor to have received two Academy Awards for the same performance. It might be one of the most realistic portrayals of returning veterans of WWII.
