Well, there's 3 bad choices in Appleseed's pic, because wearing deck shoes or sneakers without socks is berking DISGUSTING.
Buncha judgemental folks in here. I like wearing shorts and flip-flops or a pair of shoes. It's comfortable and you can kiss my white ass once you pull the stick out of your asses.
In reply to Appleseed:
Can't hold that image against shorts, dude is in his boxers!
This is how a man short-shorts.

Some things should never have been!
Some obscure French stuff that is cool
MAtra Bagheera, three across seating mid engined and affordable in the the 70's and 80's
Replaced by the Murena, although I'm sure it was still sold as the Baghera in the UK.

you're welcome to your opinion … but I go without socks as often as I can (and can't stand wearing flip-flops) … so it's either an old pair of loafers of what you're calling deck shoes …
my early onset of neuropathy means that the tightness of socks is extremely painful for my toes … so when ever possible I ditch the socks
Venturi Atlantique
I fell in love with these at LeMans in 94 when I saw a bunch of the homologation versions racing
Renault Alpine A610, not as famous as some of the earlier Alpine models, but as a child of the 80's I loved them. Rear engined 6 cyl turbo 2+2 supercar. Sound familiar? But way more affordable than a 930 both new and used. If I'd stuck with my original plan of living here in the States for just a year or so then go back tot he UK rather than stay and become a citizen, I may well have ended up with one of these. NEver badged as Alpine in the UK as Chrysler/Talbot owned the rights to that name there.
Channel your inner 80's child

Chill man, we all channel our inner Sonny Crockett from time to time. Also working in a studio where style and fashion are prevalent (except for the token Engineer, me) the sockless look is coming back.
Don't like the sockless look with pants. Do like it with shorts--and there is absolutely nothing wrong with shorts on men. Heck, with calves and thigh's like mine it is a sin not to show them off!
My new shoes--I wear them with no-show socks to keep the smell down:

Nothing looks dorkier than socks with any shoes and socks. Mini Footies are your friend in the warm months.
