Interesting how the couple is from my hometown and there was not a peep in the news about the event.
Quick Snopes check declared this a a false rumor.
"While the above-quoted story is a work of fiction, the photograph included with the article was real. The picture originated with DPA, Germany's largest press agency, and was first published by the international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW) on 15 January 2014 in an article entitled "Wartime ammunition still rotting in German waters."
So we still have a nuke off the coast of Georgia.
If I won the lottery I would do this. Mostly because I REALLY want an F40 and also because I would love to troll people who take this E36 M3 too seriously. Then I'd drive it to my favorite track and bolt on a set of proper 3-piece wheels and massive meats and go destroy some eyeballs :)
I went to my local Canadian Tire, in Cobourg, to pick up some oil. When I pulled in I noticed a few old Fords at the Tim Horton's across the parking lot. After I was done in the store I walked around and checked it out. Basically it was Cars and Coffee put on by the local Model A club. All marques were welcome though. It made my desire for a Model A that much stronger. A Model T speedster pulled in just as I was driving out.
