if we move on and leave this to stand alone, we shouldn't have any problems … our main problem is some of us can't do that

That's not the rule. It is forbidden. The intent of allowance was civility but that has been deemed not possible by Majorie. So now it is just rules. Do the rules get enforced or not?

I figured the large stack of smilies made it fairly clear that it was tongue-in-cheek. If that's not clear, allow me to clarify: it was tongue-in-cheek. If that's not acceptable, I'll be glad to remove the post with no hard feelings.
[edit] In fact, no need to wait or bother the staff. Deleted. I apologize for the quoted versions. [/edit]
In reply to Duke:
I really didn't have a problem with your post … just that sometimes some can't keep it at a tongue-in-cheek level … or maybe they're just always trying to one-up each other .. and it slowly drifts off center
Oh, I didn't think you did. I just didn't want Margie to have to decide one way or the other and then also have to defend her decision against whoever was disgruntled by it, whichever way it went.
Rules, boys, rules. You broke them, you are trying to justify it by pointing out someone said something and it would be OK if no one did. That wasn't the rule.
She made the rule, you know the rule, you broke the rule. Very simple.
Now, here is a picture of a kitty car.
I'm not justifying anything. I cheerfully removed the post in question with no hard feelings. I can't do anything about the quotes, but I'll be glad to post something in the canoe thread asking for them to be removed.

Says the guy who apparently thinks state laws don't apply to him. Are you happy with your little got-ya-back campaign?
