How about hand-built, British, digital and with touch-sensitive buttons? Doesn't sound like a problem, but for some reason they evolved quite a bit over the years.

They had digital dashes to make it look like a video game.

Now video games have better graphics than reality does, and real cars are made to feel artificial and with driver aids so it feels like you're driving a video game.
