Proving my complete and total lack of audio snobbery, what would be appropriate for a Venom?

For me personally?
a microphone like this above the exhaust pipe and played through the speakers BMW style. I recently learned that the rabbit hair cover cuts down wind noise when recording exhaust sounds from above the muffler.

Looks like a Kenwood I have in my truck, though I don't dispute it is an Alpine, I'm about as non-audiophile as you can get. I purposely bought the cheapest one because all I wanted was something I could plug my iPhone into.
I'll have to say that my Kenwood is probably the most user-unfriendly, non-intuitive piece of E36 M3 ever invented. It's almost impossible to figure out how to do something without the manual and it is always doing something I don't want it to do. Very similar to this one, but probably not the same thing.
