I wasn't in the market for an ATV, but a college friend who has owned an '05 Yamaha Wolverine since new, texted me on Thursday to tell me he was going to sell it. Said friend has known that I admired the first generation Wolverine, and apparently at some point I made a comment along the lines of, "If you ever decide to sell it, let me know."
I've wanted one since high school. Much like Ralphie strategically left Boy's Life magazines open to ads for a Daisy Red Ryder for his parents to find, I too left Dirt Wheels magazines open to ads and reviews of the Wolverine for dad to find. That never panned out, we wound up with a 2 wheel drive Mule instead.
So now I own a slightly used '05 Wolverine. 2005 is the last year of the original Wolverine, so it doesn't get much better than this, plus a new never used winch, brand new tires, and SWMBO looks damn fine modeling it.
In regards to my rant about E36 M3ty instructions the other day...
Ok, I guess they're a bit more legible than I made them out to be, but I still think they're poorly written. It was easier to glance at the one I was replacing than try to read these.
Guess I shouldn't complain too much, still see fire alarm plans much worse than this and I don't even install them anymore.

So funny story about those large Muffler Man guys, the company that made them is still in business in Durham NC and makes a little sailboat called the Isotope, I had one for a few years and go to meet the owner and builder of those statues!
