Me, all the time, if I were driving that thing:
The NC Art Museum is having a display of Art Deco cars, but the State Fair is happening just down the road and traffic is a zoo there. I do want to go to it.
I put (some of) my used motor oil in a bucket of sand and use it to clean and add a protective layer of lube to my yard implements. Works GREAT.

Another instalment in "I'm way older than I thought." Leaving work on Thursday I see this being painted on the security gate of a bar, Marshall Stack, down the block from my post.
I love watching people paint, so I stop for a couple minutes, and talk to the painted who's name now escapes me and a few kids that have also stopped to watch. I have this painful exchange with a girl probably in her mid twenties.
Young whippersnapper: What's it supposed to be?
Grouchy middle aged man: It's the Guy from the Maxell ad
YW: What's a Maxell?
Me: They make tapes
YM: A tape ad?
Me: Not sticky tape, the tapes you listen too.
YM: Uh, okay

My grandfather may have saved a step parking the truck over the drain. They held to much oil to bother with a pan. It was a different time.
Unrelated pic of oily goodness. Why don't I have a donut robot?!?!?
I have a coworker that started complaining about a pic of my dog sleeping on Instagram. Now I post them frequently just incase they are the last little push sending her into a complete mental breakdown.

My dad poured his used oil out behind the barn... on the slope that led down to the marsh... that opened directly into the Chesapeake Bay.
I'm glad it was a different time. I'm also glad there is a recycling center right down the block from my house.
Police say a speeding drunken driver smashed into another car on Long Island in New York, causing the hit car to split in half.

Y'all know that's not the Maxell guy at first right? I see the resemblance but if you watch "The Wall" once you wouldn't see the Maxell pic there
