Can we please stop hotlinking pics?

This is how I felt when I woke up this morning...

Now what am I doing wrong? I'' using the Flickr app and I copied the image URL. Then when I tap the photo icon here and paste it in I get a gray box? Irritating. Normally I use photobucket but it's so slow and cumbersom I'd like to be able to hotlink easier and faster.

If this actually works, I went to the link behind your broken picture, and clicked on share then embed. I've noticed in here and the gif thread that not all the sources give a direct url to the picture. Usually right click then copy image address works, but I didn't even get that option from flickr.

A: Yes that worked.

B: Apparently I'm not tech savvy enough, that makes literally no sense to me.

Edit: Could someone point out to me the easiest site to hotlink from. I'm using an iPhone 6plus, it really shouldn't be that hard but I apparently need things broken down into very small bites and on a 6th grade level.

then it will give you a panel with insert/embed/something else. Just copy the stuff it has under the "embed" tab.

I'm not the best at explaining things, and trying to do it from an iphone may be different than on laptop or android tablet.

Missed that part about Flickr APP. I have no idea about the app, my bad.
