Fender skirts have some good aero advantages. I wonder why we haven't seen a resurgence? These two cars don't have a whole lot else in common...
I was thinking more of the manufacturers, for whom there is a real benefit to improved aero. You never know what those crazy kids will do next.
Although some of the hypermile guys are pretty creative.
