We went to Car Night at Bear Mountain yesterday. The turn out was a bit small but there was a little of everything.

I once had to remove a Mercedes wheel with a sawzall. 5 of 5 extended wheel bolts did this: I didn't know about the hole-saw trick until after the wheel was all chopped up. In the end the wheel is still trash even with the hole-saw.

Todays tech tip:
Depending on the quality of drill bit you have available, and the hardness of the studs, you can drill the stud out of the middle of the nut, or drill the hex and taper off the bolt. The toughest part is getting through the hardened head of the locking nut, but it will usually shatter if you work it hard enough.

I call shenanigans. Based on the bold 5 in the folded bill (in the bottom right once unfolded), and on the scalloping at the border around each 5, this is an example of the back of the bill below. The area above the memorial is essentially blank, and there is nothing that extends below that border in the corner. As much as I love pancakes, I think a flat earth truther posted this...

If you take off all the lug nuts except the locks, and get a good sized helper you can shove the car side to side until the studs with the locks snap off. Two big guys and some practice can have the four tires off in a couple minutes.

Ha. I came here to post that pic. It's pretty cool and I like the backstory behind the build.

I fix enough crappy Toyota E36 of the M3 variety that I find the idea of Toyota "quality" to be laughable. Unless the quality is middling.
