Looking at using the parts from my Bravada and swapping all of it over to a 2wd short bed, hitting it with the lowering stick, adding rubber and then trying a few tricks to get the weight down.
I need to get the shop in better working order before I go get another truck to cut up, but I feel like I'm serious this time. Mostly because I already have most of the parts laying around and just need another S10 to cut up.

Party foul on me for no pic, but knowing myself and my lower class, rural roots, those are the kind of ladies I would make poor life choices with if I moved to Florida.
7.72 dial in I need to get a pic of it launching! Don't know if it won last weekend but it has won many events.
Chad: Is the 100" 2 door Blazer wheelbase too short?
In reply to bentwrench:
I don't see any mention of minimum wheelbase in the rules here other than it can't be intentionally shortened or lengthened from stock. I want a short bed pikcup though just because I want a short bed pickup. I noticed a minimum weight of 3000 lbs without driver, so I probably won't have to do much if any of the cutting I was thinking about doing to be at the minimum weight for CAM-T.
For the mandatory hotlink, Butch's Blazer, because I feel it has to be involved in every discussion of an S10 based race car.
I think the 100" wheelbase of a blazer will improve the weight distribution.
Here's another I found on this forum.

Doesn't look like she's going anywhere to me.
Page 5?!
You people disappoint me.
In reply to bentwrench:
I thought the short wheelbase didn't come until the round body 2 door. All the 2 door square bodies I've seen looked just as long as my 4 door. Of course I've never gotten the tape measure out. I'm still stuck on wanting a normal pickup because that's just what I want. There isn't any logical thinking behind it.
Honestly I'm waffling between these 2 now. Biggest motivation on the S10 being that I have a small pile of S10 parts.
Do the S-10, stay after at an autocross and go around helping pick up cones, be a hero!

I realize if I do an S10, I just have to go looking for a good body and frame, I have a good 350, 700R4, LSD 3.42 gear 10 bolt (with my probably 250hp on a good day engine, should be ok for a while if I'm not launching it on slicks), complete enough for a race car interior, and spindles that let me use the later Blazer dual piston front calipers.
Basically I just need to keep an eye out for a ~$500 square S10 shell with a clean title.
did Pat sell his cheap square S10 yet?

A dumbass. Insert red from that 70s show here.
In reply to Dusterbd13:
The build thread for your truck is saved in my folder of links to info/parts for this dumb S10 idea.
In reply to Chadeux:
Save the pictures. I turned off autopay to photobucket.
