I had to do a bit of roofing on the ridge vent (black spot at one end of the peak I was standing on). It was such a nice day, I decided to take the view in. 10 acres of country live. Yeah, I'm proud our little slice of heaven. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4800/26765862408_4f00d0d332_o.jpg The link is a big version of the hotlink.

Plus Ens. Dale Peterson's F4F-3 Wildcat. He shot down a Betty and helped Butch O'Hare with another during the fight where O'Hare shot down 5 Bettys.
And SEVEN TBDs!!!
Hopefully, the Navy will let them salvage at least some of these aircraft.

It's Nashville on Printer's Alley. I carried my wife's drunk ass from there to the Nashville Sheraton Downtown (the one with the rotating restaurant at the top, I was a bartender in the lounge).
Little known fact, Music and Tourism is the #2 industry in Nashville. Printing is #1.

can they stop them? International waters, abandoned, not even close to the national boundary.

Smartass answer: Um, yeah. They see your salvage vessel and raise you this:
Serious answer: The US Navy insists all aircraft wrecks on land or under the sea are still its property. They'd probably sue anyone who salvaged one of these aircraft (not even sure that's possible in 10,000 feet of water) without permission. Currently, there are no Devastators above sea level, and you can bet that the Navy wants one for the museum in Pensacola.

I stand very much corrected. I worked in Printer's Alley 10 Years ago. It has changed so much I didn't recognize it. This was the best image I found for "red faced"
In reply to Will :
and yet somehow someone was able to abscond with ALL of USS Houston without the USN knowing about it...
I have a hypothetical
Imagine a classic Jag, with all the sexiness and sound, but
now wait for it

Close, but no cigar. I never understand why people in this country love putting E36 M3ty wire wheels on 70's and up Jag's. Add to that the sin of slapping some massive diameter wheels with rubber band tires and they snatch massive defeat from the jaws of epic victory. These cars look best on smaller diameter subtle wheels, even the correct steelies like these OEM's are infinitely better than dubbed out wires. HEck, I'd rather have black circle track wheels than those chrome monstrosities.
Time for some XJ Jag Porn
MMmmm look RHD three pedal porn. Yes manual's were an option in Europe through the XJ40 series into the early 90's
More perfect OEM steelies
John Steed's ride.
Loved the XJS Cab's too. This was dads 3.6L AJ6 with a 5 speed. Damn I wish I had that car. Sorry about the quality, they are scans of old film.
