I'm doing so well not getting a hooptie of any sort. So, GRM re-runs the article on fixing salvage cars and I see the hooptie below in one of my groups. I'd want it for an interior refresh, mostly, but that doesn't look like too much work to get back on the road. The airbags didn't even pop.

Taking this thing out of hibernation this weekend to try a new roundy round track and trade paint. 

Now that school is out, Adirondack Soaring holds a week of intensive training for student pilots that are close to going solo.  Ground school, a dozen flights a day, BBQ.  A 14 year old was dropped off by his parents, then they left.   Just before release from the tow plane, the Instructor, trying to teach the young man to fly with a distraction and multi-task, asked "How did you get here?"

He replied, "I just followed the tow plane!"
