Why #50. During the civil war we didn't have 50 states. More like 45 or 46....
Party fouls with no pic here, but that is something I’ve wanted to do although I would either use the numbers 18 or 76.

Hmmm, that a bit like saying this is a weapon:
It IS, but it's hardly the best choice if you have an option.
That said, you do have to quite a man to make it work in a fight!
Try and carry it onto a commercial airliner.
Hahaha, true enough. I'm gonna confess to a little bit of bias towards the Rhino. (See the "garage" in my profile). I've heard arguments for just about every fighter that is or was in the inventory being the "best fighter" . . . well every one except:
They forgot about the airplane for everyone, that will do everything, after we do 2 decades worth of bandaids to make an OK fighter.
Sorry. No way an F-111 is a fighter! It would have a tough time in a dogfight with a B1!
I know it's an "F", but that is just the legacy you are talking about. It's a low altitude interdiction bomber.
It can be fitted with a couple of Sidewinders, but so can an A10, and it's clearly not a fighter (although I am sure it's a pretty good low speed dog fighter):
Wish I could go to AirVentures next week. To celibrate 100 years of the RAF, other than the 'usual' Spitfires and Hurricanes they will also have a Vampire and a Meteor.

General Grant is on the $50 bill. (No hot link because of stupid phone)

Not arguing with your assessment, but the A-10 scored more air-to-air kills in the first Gulf War than the F-14 and F-16 combined.
