Thanks, he was a great guy. He taught me many things and always set a good example.the 2 of us about 5 or 6 years ago.

Man, I'm finding "it's really happening" posts on misc venues, but still nothing from Jeep. I can't say I'd really be looking at one, but I confess to having an irrational hope that they'll really do the version with less cab and a meaningful bed. I hereby state unequivocally that I'm not saying they should, or that I'll do anything about it one way or the other. It's just my gut reaction to "pickup".
Now if I could just get this with a magical box top that turned it into a van in five minutes...

Yeah, some of the conceptual renderings showed a single cab version which I thought looked perfect. Some people are clamoring for a single cab, long bed stripper model but FCA probably won't offer it in anything other than a 4 door. The images were apparently on an official FCA media site but were taken down quickly, along with some specifications.
Towing is 7650lbs and payload is 1600lbs. That is probably for the diesel engine though.
Soft top!

It seems that you might want one to use as a truck.
My observation is that almost all of the newer Jeeps I see around here serve the purpose of driving to parking lot meets and buying accessories for looking cool.

A lift kit and a few mega-bright eBay lightbars wired to run constantly, and they'll be right as rain.

...which is smart, because only a handful of the people who say they want the top picture will ever buy one even if FCA makes it. Whereas they will sell a metric buttload of the bottom picture at almost no discount for the first couple years.
